We give away millions of pounds of the National Lottery’s good cause money to community groups and charitable projects all over the UK, each year. The service desk is an integral part of this as we make sure that we have the knowledge and skill to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Why SDR?
After trying to recruit from our own website and a national recruitment agency, we found this to be a time intensive process which was not producing the right calibre of applicants. We were working to a very tight timeframe and decided that engaging SDR would be a good idea. With their specialist knowledge for all things service desk and the two different recruitment options, one that included full training, we were guaranteed to get a new team member that would have a clear understanding of service desks and best practice. Hints and Tips for Candidates
1. The most important attribute for any candidate to have is always personality
2. One of the worst things to do on an online application is ‘see CV attached’ and then forget to attach the CV
3. When I am interviewing someone the first thing I always notice is their general appearance, this is incredibly important when first meeting someone.
