Role

You will be an integral part of a specialist technical team, personally responsible for delivering key elements of a managed support service for a high-profile client. The role will provide an opportunity to build on your strong technical background and to obtain practical experience of innovative IT solutions and services.

 

Responsibilities

Including but not limited to: –

  • Support Windows Server 2008 to 2022
  • Proficient with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and RDS
  • Proven experience in Azure and VMware with the ability to setup, maintain and troubleshoot servers
  • Support Citrix XenApps environment, including NetScaler’s, Citrix Brokers and application servers
  • Support O365 in a hybrid environment
  • Proven experience in Proxy technologies. Experience with ForcePoint and Zscaler will be essential
  • Knowledge of the Veeam product suite
  • On-call working requirement for a minimum of 1 week per month

 

General

  • Support the Senior Management team in achieving their objectives
  • To maintain a sound knowledge and understanding of current technologies required for the role (as mentioned above)
  • Always looking to find continual service improvements with new technologies, automation and developing additional customer requirements
  • Adherence to contractual obligations with customers, third parties and current legislation
  • To get acquainted with the general structure of the Company and understand the way the business functions
  • All other tasks as may be required to fulfil the role, or as are necessary at the time. Additional duties will be discussed with you by your manager or a director

 

Essential Experience/ Technical Requirements

  • Demonstrate a positive “can do” attitude in all situations
  • Able to work under pressure in the event of major incidents to provide ownership of the technical issue through to resolution
  • Support Windows Server 2008 to 2022
  • Proficient with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO and RDS
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining Azure services along with in-depth troubleshooting
  • Experience of VMware vSphere and vCenter with the ability to setup, maintain and troubleshoot servers
  • Support the Citrix XenApps environment, including NetScalers, Citrix brokers and application servers
  • Support O365 in a hybrid environment
  • Proven experience in Proxy technologies. Experience with ForcePoint and Zscaler will be essential
  • Knowledge of the Veeam product suite
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Certificate services
  • In-depth knowledge of Terraform
  • Knowledge of Ansible Tower
  • Knowledge of supporting Linux servers, ideally Red Hat Enterprise

 

Desirable Experience/ Technical Requirements

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Window 7 and 10 desktop operating systems
  • Plan, prioritise and focus on critical tasks
  • Achieved, or be working towards, a relevant Microsoft or Citrix certification
  • Experience of creating high quality technical documentation and reports
  • Ability to present and communicate technical solutions and resolutions at all levels
  • Agile working environment experience
  • Knowledge of Cloud storage solutions
