10 October is World Mental Health Day…

Posted on Wednesday 7 October 2020.

World Mental Health Day 2020 is the most important one yet.

Mental health problems can affect anyone, any day of the year, but 10 October is a great day to show your support for better mental health and start looking after your own wellbeing.

The months of lockdown and loss have had a huge impact on us all, and prioritising mental health has never been more important than it is now.

That’s why this year we want to bring everyone together to mark the day by each doing one thing for better mental health.

Making positive change can seem so hard, especially during uncertain times. And sometimes, it can be hard to know where to start. Take the opportunity this World Mental Health Day to find out more about how you can start with one thing.

Start with one thing…

This one thing could be taking 30 minutes to watch this video from SDI20 conference speaker and mental health campaigner Rob Stephenson. It might be the best 30 minutes you ever spent!

Rob shares with us his thoughts on the power of being open and how mental health belongs to us all – how we all have ‘form’. Rob gives us access to his brand new and completely free FormScore app to help us all navigate our Form on a daily basis.

There is great advice on coping strategies and ways to get through low points. He also talks about how important it is to be open and supported in the workplace to everyone’s wellbeing.

Rob closes with this poignant thought from his 6 year old daughter on what to do when your Form is low:

“Find someone you love/trust and talk to them”
